CWA: California Workforce Accelerator
The California Workforce Accelerator brings together an ecosystem of employers that turn their training requirements into classroom materials to integrate into class instruction.
Students earn employer badges throughout as they complete their certificate, and can enter a pipeline where employers evaluate students based on their portfolio of work.
- Employer Training: Employers can update the curriculum in real time so students always learn the most up to date employer skills.
- Employer Credentials: Students receive employer recognized digital badges as they complete their certificate.
- Portfolios: Students in this ecosystem create an employer specific work product.
- Opportunities: Students may be eligible to participate for a micro-internship with an employer.
Why Calbright
Calbright College is California’s first statewide, fully online community college, designed to provide technology-focused training for adult learners at no cost. Calbright was recently accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission. Upon completion of program choice, the learner earns a Certificate of Competency. Our select programs will also prepare learners with core skills to pass third-party industry validated credentials/certificates.

Our programs are fully online, asynchronous, and competency-based, offering maximum accessibility and flexibility. They are designed to reflect labor market needs and are built in collaboration with industry experts and validated by employer partners.
