We’re celebrating! Calbright is a certified “Great Place To Work!”
The certification comes from Great Place To Work, a global leader in workplace culture – helping companies and organizations create stronger workplace environments and employee experiences.
In June 2024, Calbright employees participated in a confidential Trust Index Survey facilitated by Great Place to Work, resulting in the certification on the College’s first try.
“Most companies don’t get ‘Great Place To Work’ certification on their first try,” said Aarsenio Perry, a strategic advisor at Great Place To Work. “It’s not something we see a lot.”
According to the survey, 89% of Calbright employees say that Calbright is a top tier work environment. At most companies, only 57% of employees say the same.
“Calbright staff are driven by our mission to make higher education accessible, we take great pride in that, and it’s created a warm and welcoming workplace,” said Calbright President and CEO Ajita Talwalker Menon.
In all:
- 98% of Calbright employees say that when you join the company, you are made to feel welcome
- 96% say they feel good about the ways Calbright contributes to the community
- 95% say that their work has special meaning, that it is “not just a job.”
- 94% say they feel like their work makes a difference in the world
- 94% say that they feel a sense of pride in their accomplishments
As per our education model, we are committed to continuous growth and plan to celebrate this achievement while also addressing the areas for improvement noted in the survey.
Calbright, which just celebrated the fifth anniversary of opening its digital doors to students, has grown significantly since its founding. It now has over 150 employees, a faculty full of leading professionals in their industry, union representation for faculty and staff, and a respectful, communicative, culture.
